The following steps will guide you through the process of using Sony FS700 AVCHD video in your Sony Movie Studio 13 project.

"I shoot my family party with my Sony FS700 with the output video format of .MTS . I tried to do some editing on Sony Movie Studio 13. I have made some searches ,and i found that the Sony Movie Studio 13 can edit the file formats of mpeg2 and avi. So i am wondering how to convert mts file to mpeg2 and avi for me to edit on Sony Movie Studio 13? what software and programme should i need.and where can i get it. Thanks."

To import and play Sony FS700 AVCHD MTS files in Sony Movie Studio flawlessly, we really have two options:

1) Get a much more powerful computer
2) Convert the MTS files to something less compressed like MPEG-2, AVI for Sony Movie Studio

Personally, I now would choose the second way and to get the work done, a MTS converter seems to be necessary. After trying 3+ MTS converter software on the market, I highly recommend Brorsoft MTS/M2TS Converter to convert MTS files to Sony Movie Studio 13/12/11 compatible format without loosing quality.

This software is very good & produces excellent results. I'm very impressed with the number of available output formats as well! It features optimal formats for Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas Pro, Windows Movie Maker, Avid Media Composer and more editing apps, resulting files with great image and sound quality without audio delay issues.
